About Reality House – ACT Corporation
Reality House is located in Daytona Beach, Florida and operated by Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare. It’s a Level II residential substance abuse treatment facility licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
The program specializes in long-term therapeutic community care for adults navigating re-entry from the criminal justice system. As one of Florida’s only freestanding treatment programs housing individuals outside prison walls, Reality House offers a transformative path toward lasting recovery and successful reintegration.
Long-Term Addiction Treatment for Criminal Justice Re-Entry
Reality House provides nine to 12 months of structured residential treatment designed for individuals referred through the Florida Department of Corrections. The therapeutic community model combines daily individual and group counseling with phase based progression tailored to each client’s clinical benchmarks and goals.
Treatment draws on milieu therapy and social learning theory to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Clients work through psychosocial programming that targets root causes of addiction while building practical coping skills, emotional regulation and accountability within a supportive peer community.
Vocational Training and Work Release Preparation
Beyond clinical treatment, Reality House integrates vocational training, GED education, life skills development and work readiness programming. Eligible clients may transition to work release status and gain real world experience while still receiving residential support. This holistic approach prepares individuals to re-enter society with employable skills and a stronger foundation for sustained recovery.
